Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Contextify ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Contextify is a macOS application that monitors and displays your Claude Code and Codex CLI conversation sessions. The App operates entirely locally on your device.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or commercial purposes on devices you own or control.

Restrictions

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
  • Distribute, sublicense, lease, or rent the App to third parties
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Contextify and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

User Data

All data processed by the App remains on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your data. You are responsible for backing up your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Third-Party Content

The App processes transcripts from Claude Code (Anthropic) and Codex CLI (OpenAI). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms of service. We are not affiliated with Anthropic or OpenAI.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL CONTEXTIFY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Contextify from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Contextify operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
